Hunting mountain duck lake bedding set11/11/2023 Size may also be helpful in distinguishing between species. Some species have distinctive shapes and voices. The distribution of light and dark plumage is particularly important when identifying waterfowl, especially the presence and position of white areas on the wings and the contrast between underwing, neck and body. Important distinctive field marks that allow you to differentiate between each of the species is shown in bold type. The illustrations are intended to highlight important distinguishing features and allow for positive identification of the bird, both in flight and in the hand. Most of our written descriptions of game waterfowl and other common waterbirds are accompanied by illustrations. Prior to applying for Game Licence to hunt game ducks in Victoria hunters need to pass the Waterfowl Identitification Test.Īll species of Australian waterfowl are readily identifiable, especially within shotgun range. Some game species may be protected from hunting at particular times, such as during drought, or bag limits may be changed in response to population numbers and/or environmental conditions. The status of game species may change from time to time and hunters should always check current regulations, season dates and bag limits. However, just because a species is considered game in one state does not mean it is game in another. To be declared game, species are generally common and occur in large numbers.

Framer motion scroll example11/11/2023 In order to animate the box element, we need to make it a motion component.Animations, when done right, are powerful. Inside our component is a div element with the className: box. You’ll get an idea of how each Hook works a little later in this tutorial. These are the essential Hooks we’ll need to animate our box component. Import from "react-intersection-observer" useInView Hook from react-intersection-observer.motion and useAnimation Hooks from Framer Motion.Next, we’ll import everything else that’s required to create animation from the libraries we installed earlier: *imported Box component*/ /*imported Box component*/ We’ll animate this main component when it enters the viewport. Next, we’ll set up a demo app and will use Framer Motion and the react-intersection-observer library to identify when the elements are in view and then apply an animation.įirst, we’ll create a box component (this could be a or card, modal, or anything else) and import it into the main component, App.js. Next, we’ll install Framer Motion and react-intersection-observer: npm i react-intersection-observer framer-motion We’ll start by installing React: npx create-react-app my-app Now, let’s set up a simple React project and install the necessary dependencies. React-intersection-observer is a relatively small package, so there’s no need to worry about the overhead it may add to your project. This library provides Hooks and render props that make it easy to track the scroll position of elements on the viewport. We’ll be using the react-intersection-observer library, which is a React implementation of the intersection observer API. This is the approach that we’ll follow in this article. This JavaScript API provides a way to asynchronously observe changes in the intersection of a target element with a top-level document viewport.Īccording to the documentation, this API registers a callback function that is executed whenever an element we want to monitor enters or exits another element or enters or exits the viewport.Īlternatively, we can use a library that is designed to handle this functionality. We can build this functionality from scratch as a custom Hook using the Intersection Observer API. To address this, we’ll need to implement an intersection observer functionality that will prevent an element from mounting until its scroll position is in the viewport. It doesn’t have inbuilt functionality for animating elements based on their scroll position on the viewport. What is intersection observer functionality?įramer Motion animates elements when they mount on the DOM. The properties defined in the object are animated when the component mounts. animate takes in an object with the defined properties of the components to be animated. The motion function is used to create motion components, and these are the building blocks of Framer Motion.īy prefixing motion to a regular HTML or SVG element, the element automatically becomes a motion component: Motion ComponentĪ motion component has access to several props, including the animate prop. Motion and uaeAnimation are two styles that are triggered and controlled by functions exposed by Framer Motion. Framer Motion takes a different approach, by animating elements under the hood with preconfigured styles. Some React animations libraries, like react-transition-group and transition-hook, animate elements with manually configured CSS transitions. It provides production-ready animations and a low-level API to help simplify the process of integrating animations into an application. What is Framer Motion?įramer Motion is an animation library for creating declarative animations in React. Let’s start with a little background on Framer Motion and intersection observer functionality. This article will introduce the library’s basic concepts and build on those in the demonstration portion. There’s no need to have any prior knowledge of Framer Motion. Working knowledge of CSS properties such as opacity, transition, and scale.

Dabble extracts dr who11/11/2023 On June 5, Medicine Man Technologies announced it had binding agreements to buy Los Sueños Farms, an outdoor marijuana farm on 36 acres outside of Pueblo, as well as Mesa Organics Ltd, which owns a commercial cultivation, dispensary and extraction facility in Pueblo. Once the agreement is finalized, Dabble will join a large team of known pot brands. All of the other opportunities were with people I didn't know or investors from out of state."ĭabble extracts will remain available in the fifty to sixty dispensaries where they are currently sold, Hindi says, though he expects Dabble's distribution to grow after the merger. But we wanted to pick our team instead of being forced into one," he explains, adding that Medicine Man "fought and bled for this industry for the last decade in Colorado. "Realistically, it was kind of teaming up. With deeper pockets set to enter Colorado's marijuana industry sooner than later, Hindi says he wanted to pick a partner he liked before being forced to pick one based on financial need. Now it's slowly being taken over by MBAs who are about the bottom dollar." But at the same time, it used to be an industry primarily driven by hippies who were trying to help people. "Some of the smaller guys who were still getting away with cutting corners will get weeded out. It could be positive if you've got quality operators in charge of multiple operations," he says. "It could be positive and could be negative. The Dabble brand will remain intact, according to founder Josh Hindi, who will stay on to run the company as a branch of Medicine Man Technologies after the purchase goes through. As larger companies like Medicine Man Technologies start swallowing smaller brands like Dabble, Hindi expects changes to the state's pot industry above and below the surface. Because Medicine Man Technologies is a publicly held company, it's banned from entering Colorado's marijuana industry under current investment regulations, most of which will be replaced by the new law stemming from HB 1090. However, the purchase can't officially go through until November 1 at the earliest, because that's when the language of House Bill 1090 goes into effect. "The proposed acquisition of Dabble Extracts will further enhance our product portfolio, as it will bring the expertise and unique extraction capabilities necessary to create high-quality cannabis concentrates in the form of shatter and wax products," Medicine Man Technologies CEO Andy Williams says in a statement confirming the sale. According to the terms, the publicly held Medicine Man Technologies will pay $3.75 million for Dabble: $750,000 in cash and $3 million worth of Medicine Man Technologies stock holdings. On August 12, Medicine Man Technologies announced plans to acquire Dabble Extracts, a Colorado Springs marijuana extraction company. The Denver-based business conglomerate announced another acquisition this week, the sixth marijuana company that Medicine Man Technologies has agreed to purchase over the past three months. That's how the narrator of the trailer for the 1958 horror movie The Blob described an alien life form that engulfs everything it touches, but he might as well have been talking about Medicine Man Technologies.

Scott joplin ragtime for piano 1994 sc book11/10/2023 In the mid-1800s, most formal balls for elite society in Europe and America began with a Grand March, which consisted of a variety of figures. A technique developed in which the left hand held down a steady rhythm, while the right hand played a syncopated melody – a hallmark of ragtime piano.Ī march represents both a type of song and dance. As few could read music, they improvised and adapted their syncopated banjo styles to keyboard instruments. While many African Americans could not afford pianos, they purchased smaller, less-expensive keyboard instruments, including organs and harmoniums, on lifetime installment plans. The minstrel performers, and resultant sheet music and banjo method books, acclimated mainstream America to the sound of these syncopated rhythms.īy the late nineteenth century, the piano was common in the parlors of American homes. In the 1830s and beyond, blackface minstrel performers imitated southern African American song and dance, albeit in a highly offensive way, in ensembles that included fiddle, banjo, tambourine, and rhythm bones. The rhythms of these tunes, and new tunes that emerged, grew more complex and syncopated when the fiddle was paired with the banjo, which has roots in West Africa. Their repertoire included Scottish, Irish, and English fiddle tunes that had little syncopation. On southern plantations, enslaved African Americans played the fiddle for their masters' dances as well as their own. In the 1870s, the Fisk Jubilee singers brought further acceptance to black religious music through their performances of choral arrangements of spirituals on concert stages. The abolitionists who assembled the 1867 book Slave Songs of the United States, the first published collection of spirituals, observed incorrectly that secular songs were rare among African Americans. Elite white people deemed these religious songs more acceptable than those from the minstrel stage, perhaps, because they reinforced the values of Christian America. Eager for any opportunity for advancement, African American entertainers took to the minstrel stage in increasing numbers in the decades after emancipation.Īlso after the end of slavery, spirituals gained exposure and respectability outside of the plantation context in which they originated. While white performers dominated the industry, black troupes also participated in minstrelsy since the 1840s. They were enjoyed primarily by middle and lower class white audiences. Though filtered through white performers in blackface makeup, the music incorporated African American folk elements, including banjo styles learned from Southern black musicians.Ĭapitalizing on negative stereotypes of African Americans, minstrel shows were the most popular form of entertainment in the United States in the middle decades of the century. Ragtime and the music industry, including sheet music publishing and new phonograph and player piano technologies, enjoyed a symbiotic relationship and rapid growth.įifty years before ragtime became a national sensation, touring minstrel troupes gave much of white America its first taste of a version of black music. While dancers and audiences, both black and white, embraced it, some scorned it as an African American cultural invasion. It burst onto the national stage during the Gilded Age in the 1890s, when sentimental love songs dominated popular music. Ragtime emerged from African American communities in the South after the Civil War. The term “ragtime” likely derived from a contraction of “ragged-time,” indicating the highly-syncopated rhythm that characterizes the music. The suffix “-time,” as commonly applied in the late nineteenth century, referenced the rhythm of a musical composition: jig-time, waltz-time, march-time, etc. It results in more rhythmic diversity and excitement. Syncopation occurs when notes are stressed or accented between beats, interrupting the regular flow of rhythm and emphasizing the weaker beats. Rhythmic syncopation pre-dated this era and style, but ragtime gained notoriety for its pervasive use throughout a composition or improvisation. Ragtime derived its name from the insistent, highly-syncopated “ragged” rhythm that distinguished it from other contemporary styles. Ragtime and blues, a related African American musical form that developed concurrently, are essential components in jazz music, which rose in popularity as interest in ragtime waned. The genre eventually took a variety of forms, including vocal and instrumental music, intended for a listening audience. Rooted in African American folk dance traditions, it evolved in the decades after emancipation, incorporating both African and European musical elements. Ragtime was one of the most popular forms of music in the United States between 18.

Minecraft quake map11/10/2023 Build Like an Egyptian: Celestial Wasteland contains two pyramids plus a huge Creeper sphinx made of Mossy Cobblestone.Artifact of Doom: The golden tools of the Vapor Islands.Apocalyptic Log: Vapor Ruins contains several.Skylands A vast land composed entirely of islands floating in the sky, Skylands boasts several dungeons to challenge players and numerous treasure huts that serve as rest stops. Step 3: Travel across your Minecraft realm to fill the map.Primordial DesertA procedurally generated map taking the form of an infinite desert, littered with mountains, caves, volcanoes, pyramids and oases. PC: Press the right-click button on your mouse.Step 2: Select the map and do the following to bring it into view: Step 1: Open your inventory and drag the empty Locator Map you just created into the Hotbar. Now that you have a map, your next move is to fill it! Again, this works similarly to how RPGs hide undiscovered territory, slowly pulling back the curtainas you venture forth. Image used with permission by copyright holder Fill your map Step 7: To finish, drag the new empty Locator Map into your inventory or Hotbar. These non-locator maps come in handy when cloning filled maps later. If you’re not making a Locator Map, swap the compass out for a ninth sheet of paper, filling all nine squares. Fill all other squares with one sheet of paper each, as shown below (eight total). Step 6: With the Crafting Table still open, select the compass in your inventory and drag it to the center square. Each sugar cane stack creates three sheets of paper, meaning you’ll drag stacks of paper into your inventory three times. Step 5: With the Crafting Table still open, drag three stacks of three sugar cane into the bottom squares, as shown below. Step 4: To complete, drag the compass down into your inventory. The Crafting Table automatically creates a compass. Step 3: Open the Crafting Table and add four iron bars and one pile of redstone dust. To complete, drag the iron bars down into your inventory. Step 2: The furnace automatically creates iron bars until your iron ore or fuel is depleted, or you exit the furnace. In our example shown below, we use charcoal as fuel. Step 1: Open the furnace and add the iron ore (top square) and fuel (bottom square). If you simply need a map without geolocation, you can bypass the instructions for creating a compass and start at Step 6. The following instructions will create an empty Locator Map, which eventually displays your current location. Image used with permission by copyright holder Create your map With everything gathered, you can now move on to creating your map. However, using wood as fuel is probably the least labor-intensive option for this guide. Combine wood and coal in a furnace to create charcoal. Coal is derived from coal ore, which you can find most anywhere underground (or in caves) and break using a pickaxe. You can use one block of charcoal, one block of coal, or four blocks of wood - whatever burns. Step 4: Find fuel to burn in the furnace. How to get Rare Tech Parts in Spider-Man 2 How to open Prowler Stashes in Spider-Man 2 Iron ore blocks (left) reside just above sea level. Once you acquire redstone ore, throw it into a furnace with some fuel and you’ll create redstone dust. To get the redstone dust, you need a block of redstone ore (below right), which resides deep underground within the realm’s bottom 16 layers. Step 2: Aquire four iron ore blocks and one pile of redstone dust. Image used with permission by copyright holder Step 1: Craft or make a crafting table (below left) and a furnace (right): You simply can’t craft anything without one of these two items. We list them below, along with screenshots, just in case you’re new to Minecraft. Tools and ingredients for your mapīoth the Basic Map and the Locator Map require specific tools and ingredients. This point will remain at the center of your map, whether it’s your spawn point, bed, or crafting table. Eventually, your journeys will reveal the entire realm.Ī map will begin uncovering your realm the moment it’s opened - ground zero. Instead, it works similar to how RPGs hide undiscovered territory, slowly pulling back the cloudy veil as you venture forth. In both cases, the map you create doesn’t instantly display every mountain, river, and desert. This version is likely better-suited to hang on a wall for decoration. The Basic Map (or just Map) is an actual map of your realm as well, but it doesn’t include location tracking. For this guide, we presume you want the Locator Map given that it tracks the position of every player in the realm, not just you. Maps are best-suited for infinite terrains, with five specific sizes you can create to track short to insanely long distances. They’re only 256 x 256 blocks, meaning you’ll likely never stray too far from home or fall off the edge. If you created a realm using the “flat” type, you don’t need a map.

Pumpkin: Pumpkins are only required for one item in the game, and that’s the pumpkin pie.
